About The Team

After thanking family, friends, the cooks in the kitchen and beloved pets this Thanksgiving, Storm Jr. (aka Little "Her"ricane) & Team are now tapping into the greater Avenger Universe. Lightning Bolt! AKA Baby Blizzard will detonate a Meteor Shower of gratitude on her favorite local non-profit this Giving Tuesday - the one that keeps kids movin’ and shakin’ to Latin, jazz, hiphop, rap and classical beats:

                         Dance Project of Washington Heights!

AKA Tornado Temper wants you to know this fall DPWH offers about 74 weekly dance classes to approximately 650 kids in Northern Manhattan.

No child is turned away based on ability to pay.

Pay-What-You-Can tuition is always available to families. Say what? Pay-What-You-Can tuition is always available. How cool is that? It's as cool as a HailStorm on the Fourth of July!

Help us keep our Mission in Motion by summoning your deepest $uperpower$ and jettisoning them to Storm Jr.’s Fundly Page. She's putting the FUN in FundlyRaising by bumping up her ballet barre to $2500.

                          GODS & GODDESSES BE PRAISED

                         FOR GIVING THIS GIVING TUESDAY!

More Info

Dance Project of Washington Heights is providing something that families have not been able to find anywhere else for their children -

. We are committed to including as many children in the life enriching art of dance as we can, and you are helping us do that.

DPWH is currently serving 520 children, and 100% of them pay reduced tuition.  40% of them pay less than half and many pay less than $5 per class.

We believe that a child's love for dance and their desire to work hard at it should determine their participation, not their ability to pay.

If you believe that too, support a child today.  Sponsor one child for one week, for a month, or for a whole year of classes.  Even $5 will help get us to our goal of $25,000 - that's one class per month for 250 children, or a full semester of dance class for 70 kids.
